18mo Festival Olandese del Cartoon

"Pregiudizi e stereotipi" è il tema del 18mo Festival Olandese del Cartoon (o Vignetta che dir si voglia).
Il Festival è organizzato da Markiezenhof, FECO (Federazione Vignettisti con più di 2000 membri in 30 Paesi) e Tulp (Associazione dei Vignettisti Olandesi).
Sono arrivati circa 1800 cartoons provenienti da 51 Paesi e la giuria ha selezionato i migliori 100 che faranno parte del catalogo 2013 e della mostra visitabile fino al 27 Ottobre 2013 nel Markiezenhof, uno dei palazzi tardo gotici più belli d'Olanda.
Con un tema del genere non potevo non partecipare e... a sorpresa uno dei miei cartoon è stato selezionato fra i best 100!
Una grande soddisfazione per me e un buon motivo per visitare Bergen op Zoom e il Markiezenhof dove ho avuto modo di incontrare e conoscere vincitori e organizzatori.
Primo premio al belga Constantin Sunnerberg 'Cost' e Premio Speciale Markiezenhof Award 2013 al noto vignettista francese di Le Monde Plantu.
Il Festival Olandese del Cartoon dà la possibilità a vignettisti e illustratori di satira politica di mostrare i loro lavori e ha un ruolo significativo nel riconoscere l'importanza, anche artistica, della satira politica e del cartoon come documento legato a temi di carattere nazionale e internazionale, sociale, economico e umanitario.

18th Dutch Cartoon Festival

"Prejudices and stereotypes" is the theme of the 18th Dutch Cartoon Festival.
The Festival is organized by Markiezenhof, FECO (Federation of Cartoonists Organizations) and Tulp (Association of Dutch Cartoonists). One thousand eight hundred cartoons, originating from 51 countries, were submitted for the Festival. The jury selected one hundred of the best entries which are part of the catalogue and exhibition, running until 27th October 2013.
And one of my cartoons is selected!
A good reason to go to Bergen op Zoom, and visit the Markiezenhof, one of the most beautiful examples of a late Gothic palace in the Netherlands.
1th price went to Constantin Sunnerberg 'Cost' and the Markiezenhof Award 2013 to the French castoonist Plantu (Le Monde-Paris).
The Festival offers a platform for cartoonists and illustrators of satirical cartoons to show off their works, and plays a significant role in recognising the art of political satire and cartoons as an artistic record of important (inter)national political, social, economic and humanitarian themes.
